Thanks to your donations, we were able to care for this stray kitten while he healed. And thanks to his adopter, Fred found his forever home and a new brother (another former Friends of Felines cat, Freddy Foreclosure). Fred’s amazing story will always inspire us and we wish him the best with his new family.

MADI & HENRI

Cats, FOF, Madi, pets _DSC4009_July 30, 2018.jpg Cats, FOF, Henri, pets _DSC4137_August 03, 2018.jpg

Meet Madi and Henri, four-year-old sister and brother. These very sweet, beautiful brown tabbies were surrendered to us due to the owner's health issues. The cats have been boarded at Just Cats in a single kennel for a while and are now looking for a home with a new family. Both are very friendly, affectionate, and mellow. They get along well together but miss the steady human companionship they had prior to being separated from their owner. Madi likes to roll around while you pet her, and Henri likes to gently place his paw on you. Looking to add to your family and double the love? Then click here to fill out an application!

SAM & JAX

cat, FOF, pets, Sam and Jax IMG_8519-Edit_August 07, 2018.jpg

Looking for a Pair of Affectionate Couch Potatoes? Meet Sam and Jax, two-year-old brothers. Sam is the orange tabby and Jax is the buff colored. These handsome boys were surrendered to us by a family for behavioral issues. They were unsettled in a home situation that included four very young children in one small apartment; but, since joining the Friends of Feline family, they've been nothing but good boys.

Sam & Jax are affectionate, easy-going, low energy cats. They get along together well but really enjoy people and want to be part of a loving family. If you have a quiet home and want to fill two empty spaces on your couch with something sweet and cuddly, these could be the cats for you!

Lucky gets Lucky! August, 2018

While trying to trap a kitten recently, an older long-haired tabby walked into a FOF trap. He seemed hungry and scared, not feral. Lucky for him, someone in the Friends of Feline family thought that he looked like a lost cat they had seen on Stamford Animal Control’s Facebook page some time ago. Sure enough, it was an indoor cat named Lucky who had been missing since mid-May. In a tearful reunion, Lucky was reunited with his family.

BUTTERNUT

Butternut, Cats, FOF, pets _DSC4061Butternut with eyes painted_July 30, 2018.jpg

How can you resist that face? Butternut was a young tomcat trapped when we rescued some kittens. Older, more experienced toms don't easily share their territories with their younger brothers, and Butternut had plenty of battle scars to show for that. But his facial wounds have healed and he is gaining weight.

This handsome, high energy, now neutered youngster is looking to complete his transition into a home. He is smart, very attentive and has a big personality. An athletic cat, he loves to play and exercise. Like many adults rescued from the street, he is focused on food and like most young toms, love nips are still part of his vocabulary. However, with time, we expect both behaviors will subside. If you are an experienced cat person or family (older children only) looking for an energetic companion, Butternut could be for you!

SEATON

Cats, FOF, Kitty Seaton, pets _DSC3961_July 18, 2018-2.jpg

Seaton is a sweet and easy-going cat we trapped. He is so easy-going, we probably could have picked him right up, but we didn't know that then! He was underweight and filthy. But, under the dirt was an affectionate, handsome, and boyish young cat. He is outgoing, lovable and full of youthful exuberance and would do best with a young companion.

Like many adults rescued from the street, when he's really happy, he may give you a love nip. However, with time, we expect this behavior will subside. If you are an experienced cat person or family (older children only) looking for a cheerful and charming companion, Seaton could be for you!
