The day we've been waiting for is here!! Siblings Billie (female) and Bobby (male) are ready for adoption. After being trapped in May, Billie thrived but Bobby did not. Bobby was diagnosed with a rare liver condition. Thanks to the kind heart of an anonymous donor, he was able to get the life-saving surgery he needed in October and now he is healthy and fully recovered.

At seven months old, the bonded pair are gentle, fun-loving, and full of kitten energy. And Bobby, perhaps because of what he has been through, is the sweetest, most affectionate kitten. The next step on their journey is to find their forever home. If you and your family want to share this journey with them, click here to submit an adoption application.

[Please note, we only adopt out to families living in lower Fairfield County and nearby NY]

When we trapped Oyster as a kitten in 2015, we knew he was special. While his littermates were appropriately shy of humans, Oyster clamored for attention, showing off with his comical gymnastics and meowing for affection. He easily found a home; but, due to behavioral issues, he recently returned to us hoping he could find a home more suited to his personality.

Back with us, Oyster has been a great cat with no behavior problems. He is still that easy-going, fun, inquisitive, loving, and beautiful boy! And just when we thought all was good with Oyster, he was diagnosed with an immune mediated hepatic anemia. It's a disorder that's manageable with simple medications and he could have many happy years ahead.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if this full-of-life, handsome, three-year old boy could be with a family that would shower him with the love and attention he deserves? He will repay you with kitty kisses and bring you great joy. Friends of Felines is willing to continue to cover his medical costs. If you are interested in helping this very deserving cat, please email us at cats@fofct.org and we can talk more about Oyster.

Meet our petite princess, Sandy. Found by a good Samaritan, Sandy was shivering in the cold, very skinny and dehydrated. After some medical care and TLC, she is ready to be adopted. Sandy is two-to-three years old, affectionate, gentle, and responsive to people. She is also very playful and silly and will make a delightful companion.

Meet Ren (name means lotus in Japanese), a handsome young male that came to us from Stamford Animal Control after being left in a carrier in a shopping center parking lot. Despite his traumatic past, he has a playful and loving nature. This charmer is happiest sitting in a lap getting pets. However, he is still learning to fully trust people again and can be skittish at times.

Ren is looking for an experienced cat family, with no young children, that can patiently give him the second chance he deserves. With some TLC, we believe Ren will blossom like a beautiful lotus flower that grows from muddy roots. Click here to fill out an adoption application for Ren.

Bailey, Cats, FOF, Greys Anatomy, pets IMG_2103-Edit_November 16, 2018 - 2018-11-16 at 17-50-37.jpg

In October, we rescued a young mother and her litter of kittens. All were given names from the Grey’s Anatomy TV show. This is the mother, Bailey. Like her namesake, she is pint-sized but has a big heart. This sleek beauty loves people but is not into other cats.

Bailey likes to be held and will crawl right into your lap. She is looking forward to the life of an indoor, pampered companion and to leaving behind the stress of raising a family in a tough neighborhood. If you are looking for a pint-sized bundle of love, click here to submit an adoption application for Bailey.

The Aladdin Gang is available for adoption! Abu (brown tabby, male), Rajah (tuxedo, female), and Jasmine (black with white paws, female) are all happy, healthy, active, and friendly. They are a little shy around new people but warm up quickly. Abu and Rajah are extremely energetic and love to play. Jasmine may take the most time to warm up, but she is the cuddliest of the three.

If you are interested in one or more of the Gang, please complete an adoption application by clicking here!

[Please note, we only adopt out kittens in pairs unless there is an age-appropriate companion already in the home. In addition, we only adopt out to homes in lower Fairfield County and nearby NY.]

Jayce and his sister Kara (a regular FOF volunteer) started the Stamford High School Pets Club. The club raised the money through donations and other activities including bake sales and selling coffee. This year the Club donated $800 to FOF. It's wonderful to see young people involved in animal welfare organizations.
