Help us save a homeless cat's life!

Our Mission

Friends of Felines, Inc. is committed to working with its neighbors, and other local rescue and municipal organizations, to help the homeless and forgotten cats in our community through humane Trap-Neuter-Return programs, rescue of strays, rehoming of cats in bad situations, responsible adoption programs, and community education.  The non-profit organization is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS and 100% run by volunteers.  We are located in Stamford CT.

The financial situation for our organization is that the number of cats that need help far exceeds our resources.  We are continually deciding how to best use the available resources (dollars, foster homes, and volunteers) while we fundraise to bring in more funds and recruit new fosters and volunteers to continue this life-saving work.

Friends of Felines is an all-volunteer organization. We depend on the energy and commitment of our volunteers, and there are many ways to get involved!

24 Years of life-saving work

Since we began operating in 2001, we have gotten thousands of cats off the streets and into safe forever homes. In 2025 we adopted out 80 cats and kittens to wonderful families, and this isn't including the hundreds of cats we have aided through out TNR program, community cats program and other aid provided! So far, we have adopted out 17 cats in 2026.

FEATURED FELINE

Jax is a joyful, big-hearted goofball who lives life in energetic bursts followed by long, cozy naps. One minute he’s zooming around like a tiny athlete, the next he’s dozing in one of his carefully chosen favorite spots. He loves being near his people, often hanging out in the same room while everyone does their own thing. When the mood strikes, he’ll happily sprawl on top of you for cuddles - always on his terms. Jax is a nonstop purr machine, incredibly personable, and genuinely enjoys meeting new people. Playtime is his favorite way to bond, and he brings enthusiasm and joy to every interaction.
