Ash and Burgundy
Once upon a time, in a not-so-far-away industrial park, two tiny balls of fur named Ash and Burgundy embarked on a grand adventure when they walked into our traps. After a short period in a foster home, they went from scared siblings to active, sweet, and fun-loving kittens who enjoy spending time with their foster family. Ash is the pair's leader and the first to explore new things, but Burgundy can always be found close behind, mimicking Ash’s movements! Ash has a heart that's as big as his love for laps. Burgundy is a bit more thoughtful, but once you've earned her trust, she's all about soaking up the affection and attention! But what truly melts hearts? After a whirlwind play session, these kittens are pros at winding down. Picture it: you, Ash, Burgundy, and a cozy couch where the purring symphony begins. Their playfulness turns into peacefulness, and it's the kind of magic you won't find in any storybook. Now, the next chapter in their grand adventure awaits. Ash and Burgundy, 4 months old, are ready for their happily-ever-after in a forever home. They must be adopted together.

Azul
Introducing Azul - a dashing black 2.5-year-old feline extraordinaire! He is a true Renaissance cat. Need someone to play with? Azul loves a good game of fetch. Want a cat who's a conversationalist? Azul's got a lot to say. Want a cat who likes to go on walks? Azul is leash-trained and enjoys an outdoor stroll. He has a "paws-on" approach to socializing, meaning you'll never go unnoticed. If you dare walk past him without acknowledging his royal presence, he might offer you a friendly leg pat or even a cat bear hug. He's basically saying, "Hey, down here, pay attention!" Azul seeks someone special who appreciates his "in your face" style. He would be happiest in a home with adults who understand his quirks and no other pets. Azul has asthma which is controlled with medication. If you're ready to embrace Azul's zest for life, reach out today!

Betty
Introducing Betty, the feline sensation who's not only named after the legendary actress and animal advocate Betty White, but also embodies all her entertaining traits! She is smart, charming, and very flirtatious! If you have a dapper, respectful male cat at home, get ready for a love story that'll rival the classics. Betty's heart is up for grabs, and it's a first-come, first-flirt situation! Betty's journey to stardom started when she walked into someone's home and hid under a piece of furniture. When Stamford Animal Control brought her to FOF, she was a bit starstruck by new people and surroundings. But, just like any true Hollywood tale, Betty learned the ropes from her fellow rescue companions. She realized that life's meant for lounging, playing, and embracing the spotlight! Betty is beloved by the volunteer team, and we can’t wait for her to find her forever home. Betty would appreciate a home with another feline friend and patient owner who understands that the red carpet to her heart might take a bit of time to roll out. This remarkable cat is more than just a pet; she's a superstar in the making.

Darius
Say hello to Darius: the 6-year-old su-purr socialite who’s full of personality! He loves being around people and is not shy about showing his affectionate side, often brushing up against you and treating you to delightful head rubs. He's a true people person (or people cat, to be exact!), and he'll gladly follow you around to ensure he's in the heart of the action. While Darius thrives on human companionship, he's expressed his desire to be the sole feline ruler of his domain (no other pets). Ready for a sprinkle of spice? Darius is all about big love and big attitude. He's not shy about showing a little sass, and he's looking for a human who is fluent in “catinese“!

Emerald and Onyx
Everyone’s pitched in. Now we need you! Our good friend rescued a young momma and her kittens at a local golf course. Three different rescue groups were involved, including us. One kitten (Onyx) and the mom (Emerald) are left. These sweet and gorgeous cats need a forever home. If you want to meet them, please text the number on the poster.

Frankie
Not just another pretty face! Say hello to Frankie, a 1.5 year old female. Frankie's got a softly colored, orange coat and that's something most feline girls don't have. She's also got a cute bobbed tail that we know nothing about, but nevertheless, suits her just fine! And, she has the admiration of a whole lot of FOF volunteers who have been blessed to get to know her. “How I love thee,” “makes my heart happy,” and “sweet and squeezable purr girl” are just a few volunteer comments. Frankie was found wandering on a downtown street. Initially terrified of everyone, she's getting her mojo back. She's playful, snuggly, full of purrs, loves to be pet, and has a Frankie-way of connecting with familiar people. She will be happiest in a quiet home with a patient family that will give her time to settle in as an only pet. We’re smitten with this beautiful, unique little girl and you will be too! If you’d like to meet our Frankie, please submit our adoption application!

Hopscotch and Scrabble
Meet Scrabble and Hopscotch, 2 fluffball brothers (born in early May). They'll win your heart with their silly antics, purrs, and wild fluffy ears! They love all things strings, tags, and zippers. Whatever Scrabble (black) gets up to, little brother Hopscotch (tabby) will follow along. After playtime and chasing each other's tails, they snuggle, purr, and nap with you. Scrabble doesn't talk too much, but you can only imagine what he is scheming next behind those big wild eyes! He loves to be cradled and petted when he's resting from play. Hopscotch is more squeaky and chirpy. He loves to climb whenever given a chance, including onto shoulders! He likes tackling his big brother, wrestling, and playing hide and seek. When he's all worn out from play, he loves to purr, curl up on your chest or head, and nap. The brothers must be adopted together.

Juniper
Now and then, we meet a truly remarkable cat. Juniper is one of them. Our volunteer team is crazy about this joyful 6-month-old girl. She loves to play, purr, knead, and hang out with people. Her joy is contagious. A kind person rescued Juniper from a horrible situation that probably included animal abuse. She bounced back quickly and will make a fabulous family companion. Juniper tested positive for Feline Leukemia with a regressive infection. PLEASE KEEP READING! We know so much more about this virus now. Cats with a regressive infection have a low risk of developing FeLV-related diseases. The regressive phase of FeLV infection is temporary for most cats, and they can become free of the virus within a few years. So for Juniper, the long-term outlook is good. Feline leukemia is a cat-only disease, so Juniper can live in a home with dogs and rabbits, or just with her favorite species - you! Please ask us if you have questions about FeLV. Fill out an adoption application and come and meet this joyful girl. #adoptme #rescuecatsrock #joy

If you've been looking to add a sprinkle of kitten stardust to your family, look no further!

Praline
Meet Praline, an energetic black and white Harlequin kitty. Born on the streets around April 19th, Praline and her siblings were rescued by FOF. She gets along well with other cats and is a playful little purring machine.

Talia
Introducing Talia – the ultimate lovebug extraordinaire! Once a cat-about-town, this 1½-year-old feline found herself strutting the streets, charming businesses for foodie handouts! But guess what? Talia's on a new adventure now, leaving her street-smart days behind. Can you believe this paw-some mama has already rocked two litters of kittens this year? But don't worry, we swooped in to save the day, ensuring she's now in the kitten-free zone. And boy, is she all about the gratitude game! Talia's spreading love like confetti, showering cuddles, and affection to anyone who crosses her path. Imagine a cat who lives for pets – that's our Talia! Her foster mom swears she's setting world records in the purr-and-cuddle Olympics. Lap-sitting? Check! People-obsessed? Double-check! She's got a squad of yappy pups and other cool cats in her foster digs, but guess what? Humans still top her VIP list. Looking for a four-legged BFF who's practically a pro in the love department? Talia's your girl! Don't miss out on this luvbug extraordinaire.

Tyler
In March 2022, we rescued a young, badly injured tomcat. We named him Tyler. His doctor says he may have been hit by a car or even horribly abused by a human. Tyler still bears the facial scars from his trauma, as well as a bad hind leg with degenerative arthritis. Another remnant of his tomcat past is his positive test for FIV. But after all the love showered on him by our volunteers, Tyler is ready to move on from his past and now needs a cat-savvy foster or adopter who will look beyond his scars to see the endearing cat we love. Tyler gets absolutely silly over ping-pong balls. He also really likes tunnels, wand toys, scratches with a back scratcher, and pets from his people. Life on the streets left Tyler leery of other cats, so he must be an only cat. With a quality diet, regular veterinary care, and lots of love, a positive FIV cat can live as long and as healthy as a non-FIV cat (learn more at https://www.fivcatrescue.org/fiv-what-is-fiv/). After a year of living in a cage, it’s time to get 3-year-old Tyler a loving home. Can you open your heart and home to this very deserving boy? Please visit https://www.fofct.org/adoption-app to apply. Applicants must reside within 45 miles of Stamford, CT, and have reliable transportation. We may restrict some cats to a smaller radius on a case-by-case basis.
