Caring For The Homeless And Forgotten Cats In Our Community.

These are our current cats available for adoption. If you are interested in a cat, click the cat's picture!
Please note, we only adopt out cats to people living in Lower Fairfield County and nearby New York. In addition, we only adopt kittens in pairs unless there is already an age-appropriate companion in the home.

Adrian
Adrian is a hottie. One cold, windy night, on a very mean street, this 2 year old boy chose to be rescued. He patiently waited while we opened the door on a trap, then calmly sauntered in - as if we were the ride he'd been waiting for! And oh boy, this guy is quite the physical specimen: muscular, shiny and sleek with sultry, golden eyes you could get lost looking into💛. He's also an affectionate youngster, enjoying lap time and pets, as well as being athletic and playful. Adrian really likes people but is uncomfortable around other cats; so, a home where he can have all the feline attention would be ideal. If you are interested in meeting this handsome fellow, please submit our online adoption application!

Bean
Like Any Friendship Worth Having…. This is Bean, a magnificent 1-year-old male rescued from an overcrowded and unsafe home. At first, he was terrified and hid whenever someone entered his space, gentle but withdrawn. After loads of TLC, handsome Bean slowly gained confidence and got his groove back. He is now eager to play and interact with people. He loves leaping at wand toys, running through kitty tunnels and chasing after laser toys. Bean is fine with other respectful cats. He will lay down close to you and lap up affection. He is gentle and loving but takes a little while to warm up to new people and situations. He would be happiest in a quiet home and with adopters who appreciate that like any friendship worth having, the time invested up front is worth the special bond that may last 15-20 years. If you'd like to meet Bean, please submit our online adoption application!

Chewie
Meet Chewie, a 5-year-old cat rescued by a good Samaritan after a year of feeding and trying to trap him. When finally caught, the already battle-scarred Chewie came with several new, rather shocking, open wounds on his face and his head - so typical of unneutered, uncared for, adult males. Now that he's neutered and his wounds have healed, and with a little encouragement from FOF volunteers, this big guy is so grateful to be inside and loved. He's gone from an ornery, misunderstood tomcat to an absolute cream puff. Adorably social, he greets everyone with a headbutt. He likes to be pet from head to tail; is easy to pick up, hold and cuddle; and is a purring machine.
Also not surprisingly for adult tomcats, Chewie tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus but is otherwise in excellent health. If you were interested in him until you read that last sentence, PLEASE don’t turn away from Chewie. FIV is a slow-progressing, feline-only virus that can compromise a cat’s immune system. However, with the same love and care any cat deserves, the average lifespan for a cat with FIV is the same as a cat that does not have FIV. We would be happy to answer questions about FIV and share reputable online resources.
With the tough life of a tomcat behind him now, our boy has a lot of love to share. When you meet him, you’ll see that right away. We think Chewie would prefer to be your only pet so he can have all your love to himself. To meet Chewie, please submit our online adoption application!

Damen
Very Regal But Also Very Silly. Meet 2-3 year old Damen. He was rescued after walking out of the cold and into a family's home. They adored him but already had a cat and dog and did not feel they could afford another one. Damen is very friendly and chatty and loves head rubs. He saunters around very regally but also behaves like a silly energetic kitten when he’s playing with toys. He will be happiest as an only cat.

Danny
One Wish. Danny was rescued after repeatedly trying to get into someone’s home. He is estimated at 3 years old. Danny is in a foster home and his foster mom says he is delightful. He likes playing in paper bags and will play fetch as well as (or better!) than any dog. He comes when called and gives cat kisses. He would be happiest in a home with adults and teens. Danny tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus but is otherwise healthy. Cats infected with FIV can live very normal, healthy lives for many years. Danny’s wish is to have a family and home of his own. Will you grant his wish? If you would like to meet Danny, please submit our online adoption application!

Elizabeth
My name is Elizabeth. My foster mom thought I looked like the movie star Elizabeth Taylor. I don’t see it. I’m about 7 months old. In my younger days, I used to do dangerous things like hang around abandoned buildings and play in the streets with a few other orphans. I was rescued when I was about 3 months old. Since then, I’ve had so much fun being indoors. I never knew what I was missing! I was shy and nervous at first, but that’s over! I enjoy playing with all my step brothers and sisters. I also live with two loud dogs who don’t annoy me anymore. I love playing with the trackball, chasing rubber balls, and watching birds out the window. My foster mom always tells me I’m such an angel. I haven’t gotten into any trouble like knocking things off shelves, scratching furniture, or arguing with anyone. I would like a friend or two around my age, with my sensibilities. I wouldn’t smother them, but it would be fun to run around and play with them. If you are interested in meeting me, please submit the online application!

Flynn
Very grateful. We met Flynn, a 1 1/2 year-old male, when a volunteer heard 2 cats fighting in the wee hours of the morning. Concerned, she stepped outside, and while one cat ran away, the other, a handsome boy (now named Flynn), ran straight to her. Flynn was so grateful to see a friendly face. After first head butting his thanks, he walked right into a carrier. With no owner found, we micro-chipped, vaccinated and neutered Flynn and now some very lucky person has an opportunity to adopt a great cat. Flynn is friendly, chatty, and easy to pick up. He enjoys playing and cuddling, and he's fine with other respectful cats. He is still a little food obsessed but he's learning he will never go hungry again. If you are interested in meeting this handsome boy, please submit our online adoption application

Granite
Everything about Granite is big: his size, his personality and his heart. When we heard about this 2-year-old, tough guy tomcat living on the streets and getting into trouble, we took a chance on him. And what did we get? A big, handsome boy who is very companionable and wants so much to be in the middle of everything! He enjoys lots of hugs and cuddles and anything food related, is cheerfully chatty, and greets people with an endearing little body slam. But, nobody's perfect, not even the gregarious Granite. He tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), a remnant from his fighting past. FIV is a slow-moving, feline-only virus that can compromise a cat’s immune system. However, Granite is otherwise healthy and with the same love and care you would give any cat, his expected lifespan with FIV is the same as a cat without it. We would be happy to answer questions about FIV and share reputable, current online resources. Granite is more comfortable around people than cats and would prefer to be your one and only - more love for him! To meet Granite, please submit our online adoption application!

James
Are you fluent in cat and have a sense of humor? If yes, James could be the cat for you. This 2-year-old is a zany, energetic, physical boy. He loves galloping around and playing. He likes to be pet but will let you know when he is ready to move on. He is very food motivated and you can get him to do just about anything with food. James will be most comfortable in a forever home with teens-and-up where he can be your one and only cat.

Kitty
Meet the elegant senior lady named Kitty. She came to us when her owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for her. Losing her family and her home was a big blow to Kitty but she is slowly, but surely, getting her mojo back. Kitty is 10 years old. Once she gets to know you and can tell that you want to be her friend, she will throw herself onto the floor in front of you waiting to be pet. She is generally a low energy cat but she has a favorite toy that she likes to play with. She is very talkative, making cute little chirping noises. Kitty is looking for a quiet home with a patient family that will give her time to open up and adjust. She will be a great companion for someone or a family that enjoys life’s quiet moments. If you would like to meet Kitty, please submit our online adoption application!

Naan
Friendly, fluffy & fun!! Gentle, snuggly Naan is looking for a quiet home and would be delighted to share it with calm and friendly dogs and/or respectful and laid-back cats. The things this 2-year-old dislikes are few (vacuums, carriers, and bully cats). His list of loves is long! Naan is a snuggler who loves to burrow under blankets and is happy to nap on your lap and sleep with you at night. He’s friendly, curious, chatty, affectionate, and attentive, but not clingy. He loves to play and will entertain himself with spring coil toys and balls (chase or soccer). He adores friendly dogs and thinks snoozing with them in front of the fireplace makes the perfect winter evening. He understands your need to work from home and will sleep near you while you earn his cat food money, and will occasionally edit your work when he sits on your keyboard. In his free time, Naan enjoys watching birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and deer. Naan is neat and tidy with his litter box, takes excellent care of his lovely coat, and enjoys being brushed and combed. He will be a little shy at first, but once he is comfortable, he doesn’t look back and his personality will shine. He’s had minimal exposure to young children and was not crazy about their noise. If you are interested in meeting Naan, please submit our online adoption application!

Scotty
Scotty, a lovable goofball, is available for adoption. Found outside with a fractured pelvis and severe urinary tract infection, Scotty is now healthy and raring to go! He is a happy, confident, playful, one-year-old male. He loves crashing through tunnels and playing soccer with a ping pong ball. Scotty purrs at the slightest touch and will briefly sit on your lap for cuddles. He will be a very fun companion for a family with adults and older children and no other pets. If you would like to meet Scotty, please fill out an adoption application!

Sutton and Zelda
Ever felt shy or insecure in a new situation? Meet Zelda (black tuxedo) and Sutton (grey), 9 month-old sisters rescued from the streets. Both are a bit shy initially, especially Sutton, but with a little time and patience, they will be delightful, loyal and loving companions. Zelda is more adventurous and interested in exploring. Sutton is more thoughtful and follows her sister’s lead. Both enjoy pets and when you’ve earned their trust, they will spend time on your lap. Like all kittens, they are very playful, Sutton preferring spring coils and Zelda liking balls. This adorable pair will appreciate patient adopters and a quiet furrever home where they can be the only felines competing for your attention. If you are interested in meeting the pair, please submit our online adoption application!

Zorro
Life of the party kitten available for adoption!! Meet Zorro, a big male kitten who was living outdoors in a stone wall with his siblings. He is energetic, playful, chatty, and curious. With his siblings, he likes rough and tumble play and is generally the instigator. With people, he is social and enjoys pets and being the center of attention. He would prefer a home with a companion who also enjoys wrestling and running around. His estimated birth date is 10/12/21. With an approved application, we can arrange for you to meet Zorro. Please note, we want all of our kittens to have a forever home with an age-appropriate companion and we limit our adoptions to homes in lower Fairfield County and nearby NY.
