Friends Of Felines
Caring For The Homeless And Forgotten Cats In Our Community.
Now and then, we meet a truly remarkable cat. Juniper is one of them. Our volunteer team is crazy about this joyful 6-month-old girl. She loves to play, purr, knead, and hang out with people. Her joy is contagious. A kind person rescued Juniper from a horrible situation that probably included animal abuse. She bounced back quickly and will make a fabulous family companion. Juniper tested positive for Feline Leukemia with a regressive infection. PLEASE KEEP READING! We know so much more about this virus now. Cats with a regressive infection have a low risk of developing FeLV-related diseases. The regressive phase of FeLV infection is temporary for most cats, and they can become free of the virus within a few years. So for Juniper, the long-term outlook is good. Feline leukemia is a cat-only disease, so Juniper can live in a home with dogs and rabbits, or just with her favorite species - you! Please ask us if you have questions about FeLV.
